Apply
Select the position and add your motivation. The shelter sees your full profile (if you have one) or your basic details.
You get confirmed
The shelter reviews your application and, if you are a good fit, we will notify you on Mizuu to arrange your first day.
You start
You show up on the agreed days/hours. Shelters usually give you a 15-min orientation on the first day.

Fostering isn't adopting. You give a temporary home to an animal while it finds a permanent family, and the shelter provides food, vet care and everything it needs. Each foster frees up a spot in the shelter: the animal that comes into your home and the next one that comes into the empty spot. There are 6 types of fostering depending on what you can offer, from puppies to animals in recovery or calm seniors.

A room, a routine and affection for weeks or months, depending on the case.

Food, vaccines, vet visits and supplies. Zero cost for you.

And if you fall in love, you get priority to keep it. We call it a happy foster fail.

The shelter coordinates each foster from its panel. You just decide what you can offer and when.

You apply as a foster
You choose one of the 6 types of fostering and the shelter sees your availability and your home.

You're confirmed and the animal is handed to you
You receive the supplies, the care instructions and the shelter's direct contact.

You accompany its recovery
You provide a home while they are listed for adoption and keep the shelter updated on their progress.

It finds a family (or you keep it)
When its verified adopter arrives, you handle the transition. If you decide to keep it, you get priority.
What you learn about the animal isn't lost
While you care for it you discover its character, its fears, what it eats and how it sleeps. All of that is recorded in its digital passport: a universal, portable clinical history that accompanies the animal from the shelter to your home and from your home to its permanent family. When it's adopted, its new family and any veterinary clinic read the same complete history, without starting from scratch.

Coordinating is safe from start to finish
You're not applying to strangers. All Mizuu shelters go through a prior verification, and when they accept you, you talk to them inside the platform, never through open channels.

The fastest volunteering is keeping an eye on your neighbourhood
When an animal goes missing nearby, a real-time S.O.S goes out to neighbours within 5 km. Anyone can add a sighting to the map and return a pet to its family in minutes. No need to apply: if you turn on neighbourhood rescue, you're already helping.
Many volunteers end up becoming family
Walking, accompanying or fostering is the best way to truly get to know an animal before taking the step. If you decide to adopt, your 360 profile is already ready, you know the shelter and you sign the three-way digital contract with post-adoption follow-up included. Volunteering is the most natural gateway to responsible adoption.
